Pink skies are my favourite kind of skies, but maybe thats just stating the obvious since I am so pink orientated. I don't even know how so much pink accumulated around me. But it makes me happy. Actually, I don't even think that its just pink skies that make me happy, watching the sky just puts a smile on my face. I used to go to the beach at midnight with one of my oldest and closest friends, Mary, to watch the stars and feel completely at peace. I miss doing that. Nature itself is just truly warming to me, I mean don't get me wrong I cant go camping like I used to or get filthy dirty in the fields at the stables but taking some time out of my technological-princess-city driven lifestyle and being back in Lidköping with all the beautiful skies and nature again was incredibly fulfilling.

Freezing Time; The Last Half of 2017

(These photos are all 35mm film by Contax T2, Olympus mju ii zoom & Olympus Trip31)

My last half of 2017. I think I took "chilling TF out" after graduation to the next level.
I was never really one to excel in education, my attention span wasn't that good in class and I guess overall, I am quite lazy BUT I knew I wanted to go to uni and the degree I got in the end was whatever, because for me it wasn't the degree itself, I wanted the experience, the knowledge and the connections. I guess graduation was the final stride for me and after that I really did want to chill out before I enter my adult-working-life.

My best friend took me to Ibiza, which I must admit was never my intention to ever visit any time soon, but it was very much necessary.
I flew to the city of love with my love and also took me to Sweden too!

I held my first joint exhibition in my beloved, gone but not forgotten Flat 23, West London, which became a success. It gave me the opportunity to step back and really look at how far I came within my photography so it was a great celebration.

I don't really have much to say in this entry to be honest, I've just been really enjoying my last half of 2017 since my last Freezing Time entry. I spent the last half of the year really developing as a person and growing and I definitely could not have done that without the closest people to me. I felt a little lost after I graduated, post graduation depression is no lie. It is super hard and I am truly grateful for those who help pull me out of that rut and realise how far I have come within myself and my photographic skills.

Tack Så Mycket Sverige

✈ Location: Lidsköping, Sweden

I spent my last week in Lidsköping and it has been the most perfect getaway I could have wished for. The small town with a population of 25,000 people consists of so much nature and land, wild deers, fresh air, clear water, homegrown foods, the list can go on. Lets also take a minute to appreciate how beautiful the architecture is also! I felt like I was in a completely different world where technology, a successful career and a busy city lifestyle wasn't anything that anyone worried about and it was such an incredible experience to just be in such a peaceful environment to just relax, especially coming from London.

Freezing Time; Half Way Through 2017

(These photos are all 35mm film by Canon AE1 & Olympus Trip31)

Leaving 2016 and entering 2017 in full flow, I have been super busy, not to mention stressed! I went to Hong Kong for 10 days after deciding to shoot in HK for my Final Major Project (FMP) for uni however FMP plans very quickly changed but that didn't result to any regrets at all - only determine my want (even more) to live in Hong Kong for at least 1 year in the near future. I met one elderly lady that was lovely enough to spend the time and chat with me. She was dressed so differently to any Chinese woman I knew or saw. Her outfit was full of mixed, bright colours and to just see any lady in a long gypsy skirt was so striking to me, because Chinese women rarely wear skirts or dresses (let alone the elderly). She told me how she had always dressed up and wore dresses ever since she was a little girl and the more I watched her the more I thought "wow I hope this is me when I am her age." She was so inspiring to see, she didn't follow the 'HK Norm' that I knew, she was had her hair dyed red, nails painted multicoloured and the greatest part of all? When I asked if I could photograph her, after several refusals she pulls out a small pink compact camera out of her pink bagguette and asked to take a photo of me. So finally we concluded to a photo for photo agreement.
This photo entry continues with behind the scene photos from A Bed of Roses, an extremely stressful 2 months in writing my dissertation for which I hope to never do again and building my FMP which focused in Southend therefore I frequently visited home during this time and during this, early 2017 I met beautiful baby Aaliyah who came into the world and I am so proud of my childhood friend Abbie who I would not wish any more than anyone for complete happiness, you are a great mum Abbie.
This entry carries on documenting my friends on nights out as per. A lot has happened in the past 7 months and it's only looking at these images that I realised that. I am excited for the rest of this Summer, my favourite time of the year. My focus right now is to work hard, because I have now graduated and officially ran out of excuses not to work.
