A Quick Guide to Hong Kong

If you follow me on instagram, you'll know that I also flew to Hong Kong after my visit to Chile and I know... it was quite a while ago now but better late than never right? I have finally written a short guide for those who are currently in or making a visit to Hong Kong and if you're not? Well you can enjoy my selection of photos from my trip.

  
  
  
  

SEE & DO:

Man Mo Temple - A beautiful temple full of incense hidden in the streets of Hong Kong Island.
126 Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan / Closest station: Sheung Wan
Flower / Fish / Bird Market - It literally is what it is; theres a street for each all within walking distance of each other but it's definitely something to see.
Flower Market Road 花墟道 / Tung Choi Street 通菜街 / Yuen Po Street 園圃街雀 鳥花園 / Closest stations: Mong Kok East or Prince Edward
Star Ferry - A 20p boat ride that Hong Kong is renown for, its a must! The journey takes you from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central Hong Kong
Closest stations: Tsim Sha Tsui or Central
The Peak - When you're in a concrete jungle, you have to see it from above and the best place for that definitely has to be the peak to see it all!
Take the Peak Tram / Closest station: Central 

SHOPPING:

Sham Shui Po - A hotspot for shopping specifically for all your technology plus fabric and textile materials.
Technology - Golden Shopping Center / Textiles - Yu Chau Street / Closest station: Sham Shui Po
New Town Plaza - The perfect shopping centre that covers literally all your needs, from make up to homeware!
Closest Station: Sha Tin
Temple Night market -  There are many night markets in Hong Kong and it's definitely something to visit to get your classic Chinese souvenir.
Temple Street, Kowloon / Closest station: Yau Ma Tei

EAT:

Hello Kitty Cuisine - Dim Sum and Hello Kitty, what better combination does a girl want? I was definitely fulfilled when I made a visit.
332 Canton Road, Kowloon /  Closest station: Jordan
Pepper Lunch - the perfect and quickly prepared food served raw on a sizzling hot teppan.
There are several branches, most commonly found in the food court of shopping centre's
Egg Waffle / Egg Tarts / Watermelon Juice - the best kind of street food you'll ever find. Take advantage at every opportunity

KNOW:

City Mapper - thank you CityMapper for including Hong Kong, its probably the best app to use to find your way around Hong Kong!
Jacket/Cardigan - although Hong Kong is boiling, always bring a jacket because you will catch a cold from the air-con inside!
Tissues - for some annoying reason there are never any tissues or napkins available in Hong Kong so the best thing I have learnt is to always carry a pack of tissues!
