State of Serenity by Liberty Dye

I had the pleasure of being a part of Liberty's series called State of Serenity, which was featured in Photograd and Fleur and Arbor.
These photos were taken a little while ago and I'm in complete awe of these beautiful images, I hope you are too!

I Have No Style

I purchased these really cool pants from Zara over a year ago and it took me that long for me to finally wear them for the first time - it's literally so last year and I still love them!
They were perfect for the 30°C heat during my stay in Hong Kong. Rows and rows of palm trees were planted close to where I lived, the perfect set for a quick snap don't you think?

I was recently described as quirky and you know what, I didn't know how to take it. I had never been called quirky before. Since moving to London I feel that I have changed my style a lot more but I am endlessly creating myself. I love to stand out and dressing well is something that brings me confidence, for some people it may be make up but for me it is to dress well. I wouldn't say I have a specific style in how I dress but I hope that whatever I do wear, I wear it well.

You know the one thing about travelling is that ones style is different, how fashion is viewed varies in different parts of the world and I think that's what I have finally understood. I realised that if fashion is so different worldwide then whatever you wear, you'll be fashionable somewhere.

ps: aloe vera juice is amazing, you have to try it (and it's not just available in Hong Kong)!

Sakura twice in a year

My gilet is from River Island, carrying a Longchamp bag and my necklace is Mayrafedane.
✈ Location: Frutillar, South Chile

During my time in Chile I managed to experience spring for the second time in a year as their winter is our summer and who wouldn't love that?  So here I am in Frutillar enjoying the beautiful Sakura among the wooden, German architecture. Frutillar is a small town on the coast, it's so peaceful and has the freshest air. Being in the city a lot, I take for granted how nice it is to breath in fresh air!
I am a huge fan of statement pieces whether that be a faux fur gilet or a sparkling necklace, which I have matched with a roll neck; one of my essential items of clothing as they match with everything and keep the outfit sleek. Visiting Chile in their cold season gave me the perfect opportunity to make the most of my love for faux fur pieces and even buy myself some more.

It Gives Me Edge

I had my septum pierced back in November, its been 10 months since I have had it now and I do not regret it one bit! I had wanted one for quite a long time but it was quite an extreme thing for me at the time so I always held off the idea (plus I didn't really think I was brave enough to go through the pain), on the day I had it done it was quite an impulsive decision as my friend text me to say we were going to get our septum's pierced there and then ...and so we did. It's good because I didn't really have time to think about it and I'm glad as I probably thought about having my septum pierced for a good month but I just kept leaving it longer and longer.

My piercing is definitely a good conversation starter and it always starts with did it hurt? Cause that's what everyone wants to know really isn't it.
Yes, it hurt like a bitch. There is no way to describe the pain because it was literally like having a needle slowly going through the middle of your nose and it made my eyes water so much but once the piercing was in, everything was fine. It's all a very quick process, I was in and out of the shop within 10 minutes. Funny story, so for the rest of that day I felt like I couldn't talk properly because moving my top lip would move my piercing and it was such a weird feeling, for the rest of that day I looked so silly trying to talk. I mean try string a sentence without moving your top lip! I have only just changed my piercing to a small gold ring (photos on my instagram), it took me a while to change as my body doesn't heal well with piercings at all. I still clean my piercing every so often, either with warm salt water or solution from the piercing shops.

It wasn't until I went to university where I felt that I looked so plain, if that was even a suitable word for me but I did feel like I needed some kind of change. Being called cute was a constant thing for me and I hated it, there is nothing about me that is cute so it's all just a generic, slightly racist assumption really. After having my piercing, it has removed me from that category and I am so grateful. I like to think I stand out with it and it most definitely, gives me edge.
If you're thinking about getting yours pierced, I'd say just do it. There will always be people who don't like it but a majority of people warm up to it and as long as you like it, then who cares! I have had so many compliments from my piercing, I love it so much!

Hair Update: Lighter, Greyer, Whiter

I am wearing a pink appliqué bra from Topshop and the red bralet from River Island. Calvin Klien knickers and my mom jeans from Urban Outfitters. My rings are from And Other Stories and Ted Baker.

Thank you once again Adrian at Pierre & James! I have been thinking for a while to go lighter and I love it so much.
This time I went lighter all over including my roots and completed with a more ashy toner. My hair became so white and grey, isn't it amazing how one day I had black hair and my hair has actually come to a point where it has reached a white blonde (parts of it anyway). And still my hair is in such great condition; I think (once again) both myself and Adrian are impressed with it. Talks of going completely full blonde have been surfacing, but for now I am so happy with this colour.

I noticed that most of my grey/ashy toner washed out after my first wash from my pamper session at the salon, I am so sad about that but determined to get it back (if there are any toners/brands/products you recommend please do let me know as I do want that beautiful colour back). I have been using Bleach London; Silver Conditioner and I have felt that it did amazingly. It kept the yellow tones out as well as conditioning my hair staying soft, but at the moment I have nothing else to compare it to as Bleach London is the only product I have used which has done my hair wonders!

See BEFORE pictures of my hair by clicking here

Sending my love to the team at Pierre & James, I cant wait to start playing around and adding temporary colours to it!

Cute on the Outside

Embracing my inner Carrie Bradshaw from my favourite ever TV Series, Sex and the City (RIP)
This colour pallet is everything I adore, I love cutesy things so much except my personality says otherwise; in fact it's kind of a pet hate of mine when people call me cute.
You'll usually find me in flowy pieces rather than a tight fit outfit as I find that they fit my figure better giving me a better shape plus I feel 100% more comfortable in them but I guess it all comes down to how I feel and the occasion. I am currently in love with this outfit, its cute on the outside.

I am wearing my very own handmade tulle tutu with a nude cami top from Forever 21, followed by beautiful shoes from Venilla Suite (Hong Kong) and both my necklace and bag are from MayraFedane.
